This was a delightfully heartwarming little book. Readers follow the ups and downs of a young family all through the perspective of their family pet. Dog lovers are sure to go crazy for this book!

I found Enzo, our furry main man, to be funny, wise and even ridiculous in all the ways you may expect a dog to be. Really, how you feel about this book is going to come down to how you feel about our narrator. Although I liked him overall, he did feel a bit annoying at times, and I got tired of his seemingly Buddhist inspired musings and incredibly detailed paragraphs on racing. Still, it was a good story that was moving and funny more than it was cheesy or over-the-top.
